When I first laid my eyes on the Tipi I knew this wedding was going to be special. Little did I realise quite how much I was going to enjoy everything about it.
As a photographer I LOVE it when my couples put their heart and soul into every single aspect of the day. Jessie & Chris amazed me with their attention to detail. Every bit of this wedding, the tipi, the décor, the dress, the cake, and the location was carefully curated to fit within their countryside lifestyle.
The sun managed to shine. In fact the ever-approaching rainclouds that circled the peaks of the TiPi and surrounding countryside never quite seemed to stretch themselves quite far enough to immerse us with their contents.
The AMAZINGLY beautiful dress that Jess wore along with her super cute bridal preparation gown and the bridesmaids skirts were made with love and stitched with care by the hugely talented dear friend of Jessie’s Fiona Warren. This gorgeous young designer put every inch of her talents into the design and making of this dress. It was perfect.
The church, a short stroll away from both Jess & Chris’s house in Eydon is enveloped by charmingly picturesque countryside, which made for a perfect location for the couple shots.
Chris lives and breathes country pursuits. It was therefore only apt that he wore a shotgun cartridge bursting with flowers as a button hole holder.
Also apt was the location of the reception. It was suspended high upon a hillside that looked down over the village that they love, that Jess grew up in and that they both call home.
The Tipi, a first for new company…. was adorned with wild flowers, full of quirky quotes, barrels and rustic wooden furniture. A cake created by Jude, Jessie’s 14 year old cousin, giant moss letters and individual pieces of slate as name places. It’s peaks reached high up into the sundrenched sky it dazzled out across its green surroundings.
A superbly written ‘Ode to Jess’ was read by her Dad in the speeches, some funny stories were shared about Chris and loved and lost ones were remembered with a toast.
Sparklers were lit and guests warmed themselves from the evenings chill by the fire pits before the real party began.
Everything about this day from the bridal prep to the decoration, from the location and the suppliers and of course to the couple and their guests that made this day so utterly wonderful, thank you so very much.
