Steve and Louise are some of my favourite people from this years wedding bonanza! Full of love, full of life, up for a whole lot of fun and absolutely smitten with one another.
Their wedding day was spread across the Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire countryside encompassing the beauty of 3 very different but equally as wonderful venues.
Lou and her troupe of lovely bridesmaids got themselves ready with help from Karly Oliver in a beautiful light and airy room at Heythrop Park. The girls were in awe of how amazing Lou looked, exited about the day ahead and emotional about the beauty and love that surrounded them all.
In apparently typical fashion for Lou she was perhaps more than a little bit than fashionably late for the service. This did not seem to perturb Steve much at all as in his words ‘Its not unusual.’ It did however mean that he had to amend his speech slightly in which he had written for once in her life was on time…or not in this case!
After the ceremony we were fortunate enough to have permission to use the grounds of Broughton Castle which sits adjacent to the church for a handful of photographs.
Steve and Louise then climbed on board their VW Camper and headed to the final destination of the day, a new venue for me, The Granary at Fawsley. Set in a valley surrounded by the rolling hills of a Northamptonshire countryside estate this venue has a huge amount to offer. A family run business it offers fleixibility, 100% attention to detail, friendly staff, lovely grounds, great accommodation and an all round super space to have a lot of fun!
At this wedding I had a first. Having been to rather a few weddings over the past few years this takes some doing! I had the absolute pleasure of finding out all about the concept of Marryoke. I will never again be able to listen to One Direction’s ‘Kiss You’without jumping right back to this wedding. Not only was this a massive point of entertainment for the guests and Bride and Groom alike but also for me. The reactions that it created, the opportunities it gave me to capture the natural smiles and laughter of the guests and general spirit of the day were by far some of the best ever.
After an almighty fail on the catching of the bouquet by one of the bridesmaids (very entertaining!) I left the guests on a high singing, laughing and dancing into what looked like it was going to be a jolly good knees up!
Steve and Louise thank you a thousand times over for asking me to photograph your day. It was an absolute pleasure to work with not only yourselves but all of your super wonderful family and friends.
