This was my first shoot back for 2017 and it was just what I needed.
Steve and Sally are set to get married at the lovely Caswell House in Oxfordshire in July.
These shoots are all about getting to know my couples a weeny bit better and primarily to put them at ease with what to expect from having me take their photo. It is essentially like a practice session for the big day.
Having known Steve for many years and having previously met Sally on a handful of occasions we had already done the getting to know each other bit, it was more of a jolly old catch up. It was evident to me that these two are a very down to earth couple, who really love one another’s company, but, perhaps don’t always feel it necessary to do the whole PDA (Public Display of Affection) thing.
This actually played in my favour. Asking this pair to pop their foreheads together, to whisper things in each others ears and even just hold hands generated the most wonderful reactions and expressions which is of course the bit I want to photograph.
Like I say to all of my clients, I might ask you to do something that seems rather ‘set-up’ or perhaps even ‘posed’ but it is the reactions I get from asking you to do these things that I am photographing. Hopefully you can catch my gist from the following images. I am totally looking forward to July. J
